Are you searching for delicious, nutritious flour different from wheat and other gluten-containing flour? Coconut flour is hastily becoming indispensable for those on a gluten-free diet due to its variety of health perks and mellow flavour. There's no need for a complete pantry and bathroom cupboard overhaul, that is, unless you want to do it. Change takes time, testing, resources and finances.   So whether you're adopting a new diet or body care routine, it's worth noting that replacing or substituting brands you normally use with natural and organic ones can be done one item at a time.   Identify your reason to change before making a change. Understand the why.  Take steps to take self-care, self-nourish and love yourself with amazing products.   For me, the motivation to stop using mainstream, cheap and cheerful brands came after a breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatments and surgeries. Organic coconut flour is a grain-free, wheat-free, and naturally gluten-free alternative to other flours. It is a naturally sweet, fine powder suitable for those following a paleo, gluten-free or plant-based lifestyle. Producers make coconut flour by removing fresh organic coconut meat from the coconut, drying it, and extracting oil. Then, they grind the dried meat into a powder resembling wheat flour. Like other flours, you can use Coconut Flour to make bread, muffins, cookies, fritters, pancakes, or slow-cooked creations. However, its high fibre content and density mean you cannot use Coconut Flour in the same ratio as other flours. It will require more liquid and additional eggs added to a recipe. 1 cup wheat flour = 1/3 coconut flour, Add 1 egg and 1/3 cup of extra liquid for every 1/3 cup of organic coconut flour. Coconut Twist is a mini collection of my favourite recipes using coconut products. Coconut oil and desiccated coconut feature in many recipes. I recently had a chat with Michelle, a primal health coach, owner of Santosha Wellbeing in Shell Harbour NSW, and yogi. Michelle is a widely respected wellness practitioner and advocate of primal health. During our chat, I asked Michelle a series of questions about primal health to share here on this page. What is primal health? Michelle: Primal health is a lifestyle; it’s not a diet; it’s much more than that. What I’ve found is that the word “diet” makes people feel scared about making changes to how they eat, or it puts people off, and then they approach change with a negative mindset. Primal health is, to an extent, living like our ancestors did without going out to hunt and gather. It involves eating food that is natural, unprocessed, things that our ancestors would have picked from a tree, pulled from the
